Resolving Proposal "Not updating" with 5 Technologies
Occasionally, when a proposal contains five technologies, the system may not update or fail to complete the build process. This is typically due to a state conflict that requires a manual refresh of the proposal data.
Resolution: The "Empty Build" Reset
If your proposal is not updating or building during the build phase, follow these steps to reset the proposal state:
-
Remove all options in the proposal: Go to the appropriate technology tabs and remove all options added to the proposal.
-
Perform an "Empty Build": With no options added into the proposal, click the Build Proposals button. This creates a blank proposal and clears any cached data or conflicts within the system.
-
Re-add Technologies: Once the empty build is complete, go back into the technology tabs and add your technologies again.
-
Rebuild the Proposal: Click Build Proposals a second time (Following the instructions on the popup). The system should now process the technologies correctly and complete the build.
Why this happens
Building a blank proposal acts as a "hard reset" for that specific record, ensuring that when products are re-introduced, the system processes them as a fresh data set.
